Mandatory Modules

The following three (3) modules will allow you to gain an basic understanding of the nature of radiological and chemical threats and how to react if you find yourself in a humanitarian context where a chemical or radiation emergency has occurred. Each module consists of a short video presentation approximately 15 minutes in length.

Supplemental materials for each module include a downloadable copy of the video in Power Point format that you may view at your pace if desired. Quick Guides for each topic are also available to download or print that summarize key points and essential steps to take in the event of critical incident..

Module 1 : Chemical exposure.    Describes the variety and characteristics of chemical threats, including toxic industrial chemicals and chemical weapons..

Module 2 : Radiation exposure.    Explains the fundamentals of radiation physics and the threats that exposure to radiation presents, particularly in the case of nuclear accidents or sabotage.

Module 3 : Escape CBRN emergency.     Outlines strategies to protect yourself when exposed to CBRN agents.
